ABOUT ME
I enjoy tutoring and helping people especially young ones and helping them to build confidence in themselves. I am highly positively minded and very enthusiastic about bringing out the best in the people I tutor. I am also very creative with teaching concepts and methodology hereby making every topic as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Graduating with honours, Mrs Yetunde Gbagi, an associate member of the CIPD, has a BSc in Economics from the Lagos State University in Nigeria and a master’s degree in Business Economics and Finance from the University of Surrey, Guildford.
She first began tutoring at her father’s school (Mason College, Festac) in Nigeria. It was this experience that provided Yetunde with the insight that she enjoyed and excelled at tutoring.R
While Yetunde was also attending University of Surrey, she informally began tutoring both colleagues and undergraduate students. Also, while volunteering at church in the children’s department, her impatartion skills were noticeable by both children and parents. This provided her with incredible insight into a line of coaching and mentoring children by engaging them on one to one basis. No wonder she pursued a diploma in Human Resources management, taking interest in L&D.
She is known for her expertise at turning around situations even in the lives of children whose parents thought their wards could never grasp certain subjects. She has various clients spread across the Surrey County and has dedicatedly serviced these clients consistently.
Tutoring Experience
Presently, I tutor Students ranging from year 2 to A-levels in Mathematics. I also tutor Economics,Statistics and Further Maths. I have also been involved in tutoring my colleagues during my undergraduate and post graduate studies. I have also taught Mathematics in primary and secondary schools.
Approach To Tutoring
I like to tailor lessons to the students’ needs. My aim is to impart in the student a “i can” mentality so that progress can follow smoothly; at the same time having a fun feel to the lessons. I believe once a student has this mentality, the problem is half solved. In addition, I have artistic and computer skills that will be an asset in developing visual aids for tutoring.
