MUST SEE VIDEO…FOR NIGERIANS WHO LEAVE THINGS CARELESSLY IN HOTEL ROOMS WHEN THEY TRAVEL

SEE WHAT HOTEL CLEANERS REALLY GET UP TO WHEN YOU’RE NOT THERE

Secret video reveals what hotel cleaners REALLY get up to in your room
A secretly filmed video has revealed what hotel staff really get up to when guests aren’t around.

One curious holidaymaker left his laptop camera rolling after he left his room at a hotel in America to lift the lid on how workers behaved.
The shocking film uncovered a housekeeper rifling through his suitcase, snooping at a package he’d had delivered and even trying to use his computer.

More than one million people have watched Vince Stravix’s video since he posted it on YouTube.

Mr Stravix wrote on YouTube: ‘This happened on the 5th of November, 2014. I was staying at a … hotel and I kept all of my items laid out in my room. Not anymore though.’
He added: ‘Keep you’re items hidden in the trunk of a car or at least hidden from view!’

MODERN SLAVE TRADE REVEALED!…UGANDA, SAUDI TIES SHAKY AFTER MAID ABUSE VIDEO!

UGANDA, SAUDI TIES SHAKY AFTER MAID ABUSE VIDEO!

The Kamanzi family with their daughter

A video of a Ugandan maid abusing a child that was uploaded by a diplomat from the Saudi Embassy in Uganda has gone viral, Makkah Daily has reported.

The diplomat said he intended for the video to reach the Saudi recruitment company that signed a contract with the Ugandan Ministry of Labor two months ago.

The contract stated that the company would recruit Ugandan maids and drivers for a salary of SR750 a month.

The Saudi Deputy Chief of Mission in Uganda Haza Al-Otaibi warned Saudis against recruiting Ugandan expatriates on their own.

He said: “Recruitment needs to be done through an official agreement between the countries.

“Employees will not be issued visas to come to the Kingdom in Uganda if the transactions were not done through official channels.”

Al-Otaibi said 500 visas were issued to Ugandans to come to the Kingdom so far.

The visas were for 400 maids and 100 drivers. The number of Ugandan maids sponsored individually and not through the Saudi recruitment company does not exceed 200 so far.

Al-Otaibi said: “There have been many problems with recruitment transactions involving Ugandan expatriates.

“Many of the Ugandan maids that arrive in Saudi Arabia leave shortly afterwards, not completing 20 days with their sponsors.

“The maids would complain to their embassy demanding their financial rights. However, Saudi sponsors claim they do not have any dues to pay considering that the maids have not completed a month.

“The Ugandan Embassy has taken a negative stand at the issue as it would take the maid into custody and call in the sponsor, questioning his financial responsibilities toward her. “This is considered an intrusion of Saudi authority.”

The Ugandan Embassy’s third secretary said most of the problems the embassy receives are maids asking for outstanding wages.

He said: “Uganda does permit Saudi sponsors to apply for recruitment individually. They just have to be licensed by the Saudi recruitment company and have some connections in Uganda to help get the maid through security procedures at the airport.”

He also added that he looked into the paperwork of maids who were sponsored by Saudis individually and not through the company. Their monthly salaries are SR2,000 to SR4,000. The Ugandan Embassy is currently renegotiating the contracts between the countries. New Vision (Uganda)

POLICE IN UGANDA TO CERTIFY MAIDS…PRACTICABLE IN NIGERIA?…NOT LIKELY!

Kampala – The Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura, has directed the Force to start certifying domestic workers. This comes at a time the United Nations has tasked the government of Uganda to take action on perpetrators of child abuse.

Baby Arnella Kamanzi’s brutal torture has attracted nationwide and global condemnation, but questions on how nannies are hired and why some vent their anger on children are also coming up.

Gen Kayihura yesterday announced stringent measures police are going to institute in hiring domestic house helps.

He said at police headquarters in the company of baby Arnella Kamanzi and his father that police will help parents to carry out background checks for the maids they hire through its Child and Family Protection Unit (CFPU).

“Maids will be given certificates for good conduct from the police’s Child and Family Protection Unit as Interpol does (to people seeking jobs in cross-border companies) to ensure that domestic workers have no criminal record,” said the IGP.

Police operations commander Andrew Felix Kaweesi supplemented his boss by saying organisations that deal in hiring maids are also to be profiled to ensure criminals in the business are traced.

The new services come in light of the CCTV video that was posted on social media of a maid torturing a baby in Naalya, Wakiso District.

The maid, Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, has been charged with torture and remanded to Luzira prison.

However, the Director of Public Prosecutions is amending the charge to include attempted murder.

Gen Kayihura explained that parents will be required to take a new maid to the police where her particulars will be extracted and then run in the criminal justice system to see whether she has prior committed a crime or not.
Officers of the CFPU will also teach the maids how to observe human rights in the home.
