Unemployed graduates demonstrate against Government in Harare
A demonstration to force the government to create opportunities for hordes of unemployed graduates flopped in Harare today after less than 50 people turned up as can be seen in the pictures below.
The protesters marched from Market Square kombi rank right up to the parliament.
Independent economists say Zimbabwe’s unemployment rate is at over 80% but the government puts it at 11% arguing that most people are now employed in the informal sector. It is estimated that over 300 000 students are churned out of schools, colleges and universities every year to join millions already unemployed
