ABOUT AGBOYI-KETU LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Agboyi-ketu L.C.D.A was created out of old Kosofe Local Government. It was one of the two local council development areas.
Kosofe Local Government Agboyi-ketu L.C.D.A with land of about 286 sqm bordered in the south by the lagoon in the west by Oworosoki toll gate Ibadan express way. In the east by Ikorodu Expressway which separate it from its sister local council area known as Ikosi Isheri L.C.D.A.
Agboyi-ketu L.C.D.A is divided into seven (7) wards with each producing a representative councilor. Traditionally the inhabitant of Agboyi been a riverine area were originally Fishermen.
Agboyi-ketu has one first class Oba who is Oba of Agboyi with second class chiefs known as Baales in each area. Such as Baale Oshagun, Baale Alapere. Baale Ajegunle, Baale Agboyi II, Baale Agboyi III, Baale Erunkan.
The location of this L.C.D.A is of economic advantage with some notable area that is known for economic political and social activities area such as Ketu, Alapere, Kosofe, Mile 12, Oshogun etc.
The headquarters of the L.C.D.A is Alapere Aboyi road where the secretariat is situated.
